FAQ

Why does Cement show 20 but more is needed?
The preview lists mortar/bedding/apron in bags, while plaster is shown in kilograms. The Cement (Total) line converts all cement to the configured bag size.

How is my PDF handled?
Every upload is sanitized (re‑distilled or cleaned) before analysis and preview. The original file is never served back.

What are the limits?
Public analyzer has limits on page count and upload size. Large plans should be split for faster processing.

Calculation Formulae (Transparency)

These simplified formulae describe how core quantities are derived. Actual constants are drawn from configured defaults and detected dimensions.

  • Bricks (pcs) = ∑(Wall Length × Wall Height × Bricks per m²). Bricks per m² depends on brick size and joint thickness.
  • Facebricks (pcs) = Same as bricks but applied to facebrick skins only.
  • Cement (bags) = (Mortar Cement kg + Bedding/Apron kg + other Cement kg) ÷ Bag Size kg. Bag size is configurable.
  • Cement (Plaster kg) = Plaster area × Plaster thickness × Density × Mix ratio component for cement (reported in kg).
  • Sand (t) = (Mortar Sand kg + Plaster Sand kg + Bedding Sand kg) ÷ 1000 to convert to tons.
  • Aggregates (t) = Concrete/apron aggregate kg ÷ 1000 to convert to tons, based on mix volumes and ratios.
  • Brickforce (rolls/meters) = Courses requiring reinforcement × Perimeter ÷ Roll length (reported in rolls or meters as configured).
  • Lintels (pcs) = Count of spans requiring lintels by nominal length category (e.g., L1200, L1800).
  • DPC (rolls) = Courses requiring damp‑proof course × Perimeter ÷ Roll length.

Totals aggregate across external and internal walls. Where kg are reported (e.g., plaster cement), the totals line converts to bags for a clear purchase view.
